This cobalt spinel is from Luc Yen in northern Vietnam, and its delicate flower cut gives it a beautiful bluish-green sparkle.

It contains iron and cobalt, and has an exquisite teal color that is deep yet highly saturated. Although there are inclusions throughout the stone, they are not as noticeable to the naked eye as they appear in the photograph.

It is finished in a fancy round shape with a well-defined outline, and the flower cut on the pavilion side, which is the pride of GTJ main cutter Piacchan, is beautiful.
