This 0.16ct Vietnamese spinel has a deep color and plump oval cut, making it stand out.
The way it glows as the sun sets is like wearing the sunset sky on your body, and is sure to attract the attention of those around you.
Enjoy the luxurious sparkle that will bring a smile to your face on a midsummer evening.
Spinel is generally distributed widely in contact metamorphic rocks such as crystalline limestone-marble, regional metamorphic rocks such as gneiss, igneous rocks, etc. Gem-quality rough stones are mostly mined from alluvial deposits, and the main sources are Myanmar, Vietnam, and Sri Lanka in Southeast Asia, Tajikistan and Afghanistan in Central Asia, and Tanzania and Madagascar in East Africa.
Spinel is generally not heat treated, but it will fade if treated at high temperatures. It has a Mohs hardness (8) second only to ruby, has very good toughness, and is stable and resistant to the effects of light and chemicals.
