This cobalt spinel is from Luc Yen in northern Vietnam, and has a light, deep, well-colored violet base color with sparkling lavender and greenish blue colors.

When viewed during the day, the lavender color is apparent to the naked eye, but when viewed through a magnifying glass, the green sparkles can also be seen, and the two colors seem to blend together lightly, creating a very beautiful effect.

It is finished in a sharp fancy pear shape (long fancy trilliant) with a sharp outline, and the flower cut gives it a delicate sparkle and flashes of colorful fire.

There are some thin inclusions in the crystals of excellent transparency, which are not visible to the naked eye, but when viewed through a magnifying glass, they shine like needles at certain angles. There are other small inclusions, but they are almost invisible.
